About Brandon

Brandon Lamar Simmons was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He began by playing trumpet in multiple jazz bands, and has moved on to play drums in various bands as well. Brandon is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. At age 18, he decided to pick up a guitar, take on the microphone, and perform as a singer/songwriter. Brandon studied music production and recording engineering at the Atlanta Institute of Music. Now, he's back in Charleston as the drummer for a local band by the name of Token Mary and also continues to work on solo music and any other musical opportunities he can get his hands on!

Bio and Info



So you think you know Brandon?  He was born and raised in Charleston, SC, where he began his love for music at a young age with the trumpet, followed by drums and then guitar.  Brandon attended the Atlanta Institute of Music in Georgia, before returning to Charleston where he currently plays at local venues both as a solo acoustic musician and as the drummer in a three-piece band.  Brandon writes his own music, as well as performing covers.  He is currently working on his EP and can't wait to release it to the public!
