About Brandon

Brandon Lamar Simmons was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He began by playing trumpet in multiple jazz bands, and has moved on to play drums in various bands as well. Brandon is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. At age 18, he decided to pick up a guitar, take on the microphone, and perform as a singer/songwriter. Brandon studied music production and recording engineering at the Atlanta Institute of Music. Now, he's back in Charleston as the drummer for a local band by the name of Token Mary and also continues to work on solo music and any other musical opportunities he can get his hands on!

The greatest job!



Sometimes being a working musician can have great perks, such as being able to perform outside in the beautiful Charleston area sun to a live crowd!  Brandon is available as an acoustic musician and singer, as well as part of a 3-piece cover band, for gigs in bars and restaurants, as well as for private parties, weddings, and other similar events.
